Bhakta Vrundam: A Gurukulam for Holistic Development Bhakta Vrundam, a residential Gurukulam for boys, was founded by Dr. Shri Raghunath Das Maharaj, who serves as its Kulapati. This institution is dedicated to fostering young children into lifelong learners, creative thinkers, self-sustained individuals, responsible citizens, and humble Bhaktas.

A Comprehensive Curriculum The Gurukulam offers a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses various aspects of Indian knowledge systems and culture. This includes: Indian Knowledge Systems(IKS): Ganita (mathematics), Ayurveda (medicine), Yoga, and Nakshatra Vidhya (astronomy). A team of IKS experts from Anaadi Foundation, Ivar Malai, have graciously accepted to support us on the IKS front.

Languages: Sanskrit, Tamil, and English.

Music: Vocal, harmonium, and Pakhwaj (a percussion instrument).

Service: Go Seva (serving cows) , farming, Temple service, etc.

Spiritual Practices: Varakari Sampradaya (a spiritual tradition). Children will be exposed to Dnyaneshwari ( Marati commentary of Bhagavad Gita) and Abhangs. They will also be a part of the regular Satsangs ( Harikeertan, Pravachan, Haripat, etc. )

Experiential Learning : To foster a deeper understanding of their surroundings and the rich cultural heritage of India, the children at Bhakta Vrundam will engage in experiential learning. This approach involves regular field trips to local places will allow the children to explore historical sites, natural wonders, and cultural landmarks.

In addition to academic pursuits and experiential learning, Bhakta Vrundam prioritizes the holistic development of its students. This includes:

Free Play: Unstructured playtime is essential for children's creativity, social skills, and physical development. At Bhakta Vrundam, children will have ample opportunities for free play. Physical Education: Regular physical education classes will help the children stay active, healthy, and develop coordination and strength. Yogasana Sessions: Yoga, with its emphasis on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, will be incorporated into the daily routine.

A Holistic Learning Environment Bhakta Vrundam aims to provide a stress-free and natural learning environment. The focus is on holistic development, emphasizing on Panchakoshiya model. By nurturing a strong foundation in Indian knowledge systems and cultural practices, the Gurukulam seeks to equip young boys with the tools they need to become well-rounded individuals.

Eligibility Criteria Admission to Bhakta Vrundam is open to boys aged 6 to 11 years. Parents who share the Gurukulam's vision of holistic education are encouraged to apply.
